It all started with a crab apple tree

This journey started with a desire to use the beautiful red crab apples that grow at the front of our house. I so enjoyed making crab apple jellies and cordials that I started to look around at the wonderful ingredients all around us, and to think more deeply about how traditional methods can transform simple, seasonal produce into something both nourishing and beautiful.

From there, Broth & Balm began to grow naturally. What started with foraging and preserving soon expanded into a love of making slow, wholesome foods and simple, effective skincare. I am passionate about creating products that honour the land, celebrate the seasons, and make use of carefully chosen ingredients in a thoughtful way.

At the heart of everything I make is a belief in traditional wisdom: slow-simmered broths made with care, and tallow-based balms and soaps crafted from natural ingredients that are gentle, purposeful, and deeply nourishing. I love the connection between food, wellbeing, and the rhythms of the natural world, and I hope that connection is felt in every product.
